When Lathe Magic opens, the design is centered in the Front View and the 3D views. The two views are also sized so the automatically generated designs fit within the views. This tutorial covers how to pan and zoom in/out for both windows.

Front ViewHow big the view is depends upon the overall screen resolution you are using, but typically will show an area about 6 by 6 inches.

To PAN with the mouse, hold down the left mouse button and drag up or down, left or right. |

To ZOOM OUT, rotate the mouse scroll wheel forward.

To ZOOM IN, rotate the mouse scroll wheel backwards. |

Toolbar IconsClicking on these icons will zoom in or out, pan up, down, left, right. Click on Reset Camera to restore the initial settings.
